For licensed databases, access rights are indicated by the abbreviation of the faculty, institute, or unit of the University of South Bohemia (USB).
USB staff and students can connect to databases marked with AK-JU availability from computers outside the university using a VPN concentrator.

For databases that allow access without VPN, i.e., via institutional login using Shibboleth, the Shibboleth icon is shown in the database details. You can log in from any computer with internet access. To log in, select 'institutional login' or a similar link under 'Sign in,' 'Log in,' etc. Then search for eduID.cz and select University of South Bohemia. Your username and password are the same as for STAG.

A full-text database containing the complete texts of 68 printed volumes of Acta Sanctorum published over 300 years. It includes materials on the lives of saints from the beginnings of Christianity up to the 16th century, mapping the development of Christian attitudes and thought in historical context.

A bibliographic database of literature related to technical, economic, and social aspects of agriculture, including forestry, animal production, water management, and nutrition. In addition to traditional documents, it includes special documents (scientific and technical reports, dissertations, etc.).

ATLA Religion Database with ATLASerials is a leading index for journal articles, book reviews, and essay collections in all areas related to theology and religious studies. It also includes an online collection of theological journals published by ATLA. Contains more than 620,000 citations of articles from over 1,746 periodicals (currently 575 indexed), over 250,000 citations of essays from more than 18,000 collections, and more than 570,000 citations of book reviews.

A full-text database designed for Bible study. It contains biblical texts in many languages. Access is provided within the Litterae Ante Portas database. Passwords can be obtained at the TF library.

Bookport provides unlimited access to more than 5,200 titles from over ten Czech publishers.
Books can be read online in a browser or offline in mobile apps for Android and iOS.

Up to 6 titles can be downloaded for offline reading at once, and up to 3 devices can be registered.

Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL) Plus with Full Text is a full-text database focused on nursing and allied health professions, available on the EBSCOhost platform.

A publicly accessible database on the website of the Institute of Czech Literature of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, containing more than 10,000 online biograms of Czech literary figures.

A bibliographic database capturing Czech national production with retrospective coverage from 1980 for books, from 1990 for newspapers and periodicals, and from 1989 for dissertations and abstracts.

A bibliographic database created from professional journals subscribed to by the Antonín Švehla Library (from 1993 to the present). It contains records of articles from selected Czech periodicals and proceedings in agriculture, food industry, and related fields. A multi-search tool across the library’s electronic resources, guaranteeing users easy and efficient access to information sources from a single search interface. It includes content from selected subscribed electronic databases and information about articles and other documents from online sources not subscribed by the library. Full-text availability depends on the licensing terms of individual databases.

A collection of selected electronic books from various fields. Books can be viewed online or downloaded for offline reading. For offline downloads (e.g., to e-readers), users must install Adobe Digital Editions (free) and register on the EBSCO website. All e-readers supporting Adobe Digital Editions are compatible. Users can set the loan period (1–7 days). After expiration, the book cannot be opened. Maximum of 15 books can be borrowed simultaneously.

InCites is an analytical tool that performs analyses of scientific outputs at institutional, disciplinary, and global levels based on citations of publications indexed in Web of Science.
To use InCites, you need to register with your email address as your login name or use your personal Web of Science account if you have one. Account registration must be done from university premises or via VPN.

A multidisciplinary resource for evaluating journals, part of the Web of Science platform. It contains statistical data and quantitative tools for comparing scholarly and scientific journals. It uses the Impact Factor, which can be used to estimate the prestige of scientific journals.

A multidisciplinary database of digitized full texts of selected journals. Each journal is fully digitized from the first issue of the first volume up to a moving wall of three to five years from the present. The university now has a subscription model providing access to all licensed archival journals and primary sources in one collection.

It provides access to bibliographic and full-text databases in classical literature and Latin medieval studies. Intended primarily for classical philologists, biblical scholars, medievalists, historians, theologians, and specialists in related fields.

Literature Online contains full texts of more than 350,000 English-language prose, poetry, and dramatic works from the 8th century to the present. MEDLINE is one of the most important sources of information in medicine and related life sciences. The complete MEDLINE bibliographic database of the U.S. National Library of Medicine contains over 23 million records from 1946 to the present. It includes citations and abstracts of worldwide medical literature, covering research, clinical practice, administration, policy aspects, and health protection services. Records include bibliographic descriptions and abstracts from about 5,600 journals in 40 languages.

The NDK-DNNT service offers full texts of books published in the Czech Republic up to 2003 and periodicals published up to 2013. These are documents protected by copyright (i.e., less than 70 years since the author’s death) and unavailable on the market, including other editions or electronic versions. Also includes works that are legally free (no longer under copyright). The service is provided under a license agreement between the National Library of the Czech Republic and collective copyright administrators.

ProQuest Central is one of the most extensive multidisciplinary databases, providing access to various types of information sources across all major disciplines. The collection includes thousands of full-text journals, newspapers, reports, books, conference materials, theses, and other gray literature.
The University of South Bohemia has now gained access to the extended version ProQuest Central Premium as part of the CzechElib project.
Within the ProQuest environment, in addition to traditional databases, it is also possible to search for videos from Alexander Street publishers or electronic books (ProQuest Ebook Central).
The built-in AI Research Assistant helps to analyze search results more effectively, tailor them to specific needs, evaluate, and organize documents.

Web of Science Core Collection is a database service by Clarivate Analytics. It allows searching 55 million bibliographic records from top journals, conference proceedings, and scholarly monographs in natural, technical, and social sciences, arts, and humanities. Includes Journal Citation Reports (Impact Factor source).

- Go to www.webofscience.com
- If you do not see the login page right away, click on Sign in in the top right and then on Sign in again.
- On the login page, click the Institutional Sing in drop-down menu.
- Select Czech academic identity federation eduID and confirm with the Go to institution button. (SEE PICTURE)
- Select the University of South Bohemia.
- Enter your credentials for STAG.
- If you also have a personal registration with Wos (it is free and allows you to save your search history, create notifications for new records according to the specified criteria, etc.), then log in to your personal registration by clicking on the Sign in link at the top right.
