Interlibrary Loan Service (ILS)
Do you need a book, article, or other document that is not available in the collections of the Academic Library of the University of South Bohemia or in any other library in České Budějovice? Through the Interlibrary Loan Service (ILS), we can obtain it for you from another library in the Czech Republic or from abroad through the International Interlibrary Loan Service (IILS).
Who Can Use the Service?
- Registered users of the Academic Library of the University of South Bohemia.
- The service is free of charge for USB students, USB employees, and employees of the Biology Centre of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
- Members of the public are charged according to the current price list.
Before Submitting a Request
- Check whether the document is available in the USB Academic Library online catalogue.
- Check whether the document is available in libraries in České Budějovice, for example in the South Bohemian Research Library catalogue.
Requesting and Delivery
- Submit your request using the online form.
- Provide as much information as possible about the requested document.
- Submit your request at least 10 working days before you need the document.
- The estimated delivery time is 7 to 14 days; international requests may take longer.
- Loan conditions and borrowing periods are always determined by the lending library.
Important Information
- All requests are binding.
- Failure to collect an ordered document is subject to a fee according to the current price list.
- Repeated requests for the same document will not be processed.

Libraries may request loans of documents or copies of articles from the collections of the Academic Library of the University of South Bohemia via the online order form found here.
